After ‘She Runs On Sugar’ & ‘Stars’ it was about time make another banger. I remember the idea for ‘Give It To Me’ popped up in my head at Christmas morning when I woke-up. I jumped out of bed to record the guitar riff that I heard in my head before it was gone. And that is the main guitar riff you hear in the drop of the song.
After arranging the song I had some help from my friend Polle van Genechten who came up with some synth layers that brought the song to another level.
Later on Julia Schutten joined the party and wrote the lyrics and recorded the vocals.
I will make another ‘The Story Behind’ video of this song real soon to show you every layer that is in the song, what it is doing and how I build this song.
